BUCTOWN officially hosted our first event in the Metaverse!
We hosted a FIGHT NIGHT live in Decentraland streaming both Valentina Escobar and Alfredo Muaiad's fight from UAE Warriors in Abu Dhabi.
With the time change in UAE versus US, it was actually a fight morning for us, but nonetheless- it was pretty surreal. And possibly one of the coolest things we've ever had the privilege to be a part of.
For those who may not be familiar, Decentraland is a blockchain-based virtual reality platform and decentralized world where users can buy, sell, trade, and develop digital products using cryptocurrency. In this digital universe, called the metaverse, users have ownership and control over their virtual assets, such as; land, buildings, clothing, artwork, brands, music and other digital products.
Decentraland operates on the Ethereum blockchain, utilizing smart contracts to enforce property rights and facilitate transactions. Participants can explore, socialize, and engage in various activities within this user-driven virtual environment.
The platform represents a growing trend in the development of decentralized and user-owned online spaces, offering a unique blend of virtual reality, blockchain technology, and digital ownership.
We were welcomed by our dear friends Canessa and Sinful into this incredible build. Within a couple days notice, Canessa and Sinful had transformed this space into a Buctown dream land-- filled with training photos, fight flyers and a ton of love for the Buctown Fam!
To say we were in awe, and quite literally speechless, would be a massive understatement.
Within Decentraland (DCL) there is a live chat for all who are attending. We got to talk the Fight Game with Coach Jay, answer questions about our Buctown Fight Fam, and celebrate the wins and warrior spirit together with our friends.
And we even had a dance party with Coach Pete!
