Fight Night 54 Recap

Saturday January 21, Three of Buctown's Finest stepped into the cage for their MMA debut at Stellar Fights 54 in Harrington, DE finishing the night 2 - 1.

With a 9 week Training Camp behind them, The Buctown Fight Team was all systems go. Staggered across an exciting Fight Card with 15 bouts, we patiently waited for fights 2, 4, and 7.

Up first at Fight #2, Santino Imparato -- a Belleville / Belleville Wrestling Alumni -- who dominated his opponent from start to finish with a 1st Round TKO via rear naked choke.

Next at Fight #4, Matt Grande (Belleville Alumni) took home the Unanimous Decision after a 3 round banger that had the entire crowd on their feet.

Rounding out the undercard at Fight #7, Jason Melendez (Newark NJ), Buctown's first warrior to pave the way and step into the ring last year with AFL Promotions (3-0) came up short in the end.

We will see "The Chef" back in action ASAP as he is no stranger to competition, blood, sweat, and tears. On to the next!

We couldn't be more proud of these warriors for stepping in the cage for their first fist-a-cuff and expressing who they are as fighters. It's more than an honor to watch these guys throw down and to be the corner of a group of such tough mf's!

They train hard and smart. The help they gave one another during training camp - let alone how much they give back the all students at Buctown - is an inspiring and beautiful thing to be a part of.

We look forward to watching these fighters grow, as we are already witnessing something great.

Congratulations on a tremendous night! This is just the beginning for the Buctown Scrappers.

Thank you to the whole crew at Stellar Fights for an impeccably ran and packed event. We can't wait to return.

Thank you to all our Sponsors and Partners for supporting us and having our backs.

Our Coaches-- Danny, Maggie, Jay. The commitment and devotion you show to athletes, your work ethic, knowledge, and history set the bar high. You guys are an extraordinary mix of compassion, dedication, strength and resilience. We all look up to you and we are all so grateful for you.

Coach Matt Bustos (Boost Performance), a powerhouse of a Strength and Conditioning coach. Thank you for your time and putting these guys through it. We are excited to keep this journey going for our fighters in the future.

Will, Mike and Dr. C, (and Goku!) (Dynamic Peak PT) relieving, adjusting and soothing all the aches and pains along the way. Having you guys is crucial to our entire Community but especially during Fight Camps. Thank you guys for absolutely everything.

David Guerra, for being such a solid friend, brother, cornerman and training partner all in one. The support you show your team has always been valued.

And to our Buctown Family (missing a few in this picture!) who made the trip down to support, cheer, and celebrate with us- your dedication is eternally appreciated.

Buctown would be nothing without every single one of you.

Ps. We're already signed up and back at it again soon.
