With the help of @tiankee, this week Coach Jay officially began his Head Coaching position with Beat The Streets at Oliver Street School (and Luis Munoz Marin School) in Newark NJ.
This program marks the first ever Youth Wrestling Program offered to Newark students Grades 5-8 at no cost. Each kid receives free training gear; t-shirt, shorts, and a pair of wrestling shoes.
The partnership is inspired by BTSNY's mission to make a lifelong impact through the lessons learned on the wrestling mat - discipline, perseverance, self-reliance, humility and a strong work ethic. Together, the two will look to grow the sport of wrestling and provide opportunities on and off the mat for student-athletes to develop into leaders.
