A couple of Buctown's female wrestlers take the next step in their careers and compete at the collegiate level this season entering the Will Abele Women's Open.
Now members of the BCC Wrestling Team-- Belleville's previous NJSIAA Girls Wrestling State Placers Alisa Safforld & Soraya Safforld and Natalia Morales (via Hackensack HS) scrap it out at Ursinus College against some top competition.
A HIGH percentage of high school athletes, let alone wrestlers, do not move on. Kudos to these strong women for challenging themselves and progressing in their athletic careers.
